Musa Sub Aquatic Museum
Address: Bahia Mujeres Park, Isla Mujeres .This museum seeks to demonstrate the coexistence between art and environmental sciences, since with the passage of time, marine life finds refuge in these pieces. The generation of this life, turns the pieces of the museum into a set of artificial reefs. The sculptures are fixed to the bottom of the sea and are made of a special marine concrete that facilitates the creation of corals on its surface. The total of the collection occupies an area of more than 420 square meters and weighs more than 200 tons.
Ixchels Temple Puta Sur
Address: Punta Sur, Quintana Roo, Mexico .South Point It is a cliff of about 4 meters, being the highest point of the Yucatan Peninsula. For the Mayans from here the Gods guarded the Caribbean Sea. At the entrance there is a statue of the Goddess Ixchel (of the rainbow) and a monument to "La Iguana", icon of the region. A series of sculptures by local artists accompany us to the end of the cliff where the temple of the Goddess Ixchel is located, which was partially affected by Hurricane Gilberto in 1988, which collapsed an important part of it. Whale Shark
Address: Isla Mujeres .The whale shark (Rhincodon typus) is a species of orectolobiform elasmobranch, 2 the only member of the Rhincodontidae family and of the genus Rhincodon. It is the largest existing fish in the world, with approximately 12 m in length. It lives in warm tropical and subtropical waters. It is thought to have lived on Earth for 60 million years.
